Oppo has launched the latest member of its entry-level A-series called Oppo A37. This new entrant is focused towards budget-conscious people. It will be priced at just $199 mark and comes with impressive features such as taking good quality pictures. So, let’s have a look at its features:

Display and Processor

Oppo A37 features a big 5-inch 720p IPS display with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and pixel density of 293ppi. It runs on ColorOS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with dual-SIM support (micro SIM + nano SIM). Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. One can expand storage via microSD card up to 128GB.

Camera

Camera is one of the most amazing features of Oppo A37. On the back, there’s an 8MP sensor with large 1.4um pixels. The large pixel size of the rear camera allows one to take better light capture as compared to other smartphones available in such price range. With this smartphone, Oppo has reintroduced its high resolution photo stitching software. The excellent feature of this software is that one can take five pictures and process them into a single higher resolution image of 24MP. At the front, Oppo A37 packs a 5MP OmniBSI sensor with same 1.4um pixel size. Front camera includes display flash as well and there’s a LG’s Gesture Shot.

Other Features

The smartphone is powered by 2,630mAh battery and provides decent battery life considering the low power consumption of the internal hardware. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, it includes GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, USB-OTG, NFC and micro-USB. It comes in several color options such as gold, grey, and rose gold colors. It measures 143.1 x 71 x 7.68mm and weighs 136 grams. Oppo A37 is available in Singapore for $215 and Indonesia will get it next. Starting June 25, it will be available in other markets.
