Sony Xperia X Compact is now available for pre-order in US and it is being sold through Amazon at the price of $499.99. Also, Amazon is offering a $50 credit on checkout and thus, the effective cost of the device will be $449.99. It is available for purchase in three colors and will start shipping September 25. Display and Processor
Sony Xperia X Compact features a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 650 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone houses 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card slot. The dimensions of the smartphone are 129 x 65 x 9.5mm and weighs 135 grams. It runs Android 6.0 operating system but an Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade is likely to be offered in the coming months. The handset features a rounded design that fits comfortably in your hand.
Camera and Battery
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a 23MP rear camera for pictures and videos. The rear camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, 24mm lens and ½.3” sensor size. The rear camera comes with highly intelligent sensors that let you capture moments in motion in any condition. At the front, there’s a 5MP snapper with 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS for mobile image sensor. It also allows you to shot steady videos with 5-axis stabilization for smoother and steadier selfie videos. The phone is powered by a non-removable 2700mAh battery which features Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Talking about the connectivity, it supports Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi Miracast, Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology, NFC, PS4 remote play, USB Type-C v1.0, A-GNSS etc. This unlocked model does have support for all of the bands on AT&T and T-Mobile.
