Vaio was mentioned as one of the several Japanese companies that were going to collaborate with Microsoft to make and release Windows 10 smartphones. Today, Vaio has unveiled its first Windows 10 smartphone dubbed as Vaio Phone Biz. It is the first such device from a company that’s best known for lightweight and slim laptops. This metal-made device will be available to buy unlocked starting April for about $425.
The USP of Vaio Phone Biz is its ability to deliver a PC like experience with the help of Continuum for Phone on connecting to an exterior monitor. This Continuum feature allows the device to be hooked up to a big monitor, keyboard and mouse to use it as a desktop PC. Vaio has packed impressive hardware underneath its hood along with an impressive design.
Design and Processor
Vaio Phone Biz comes with an aluminum finish and flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Vaio Phone Biz is a metal-based device and features a beautiful finish.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm 617 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 16GB which is expandable further up to 64GB via a microSD card. It runs on Windows 10 Mobile operating system. The chipset is packing eight Cortex- A53, meaning that it will be able to deliver a fluid smartphone experience.
Camera and Connectivity
It comes equipped with 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera for clicking selfies. Talking about the connectivity options, the device includes 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and it houses a 2,800 mAh battery. It supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
