Huawei Technologies has unveiled a new premium phone called Huawei Mate 9. It comes with a new artificial intelligence feature to compete with the offerings of Apple and Samsung. The smartphone is aimed for professional users looking for fast phones with long battery life. The handset also bears a dual rear camera setup which has been designed in collaboration with Leica. The company also unveiled the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9. It seeks like Huawei is ready to compete with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Let’s have a close look at the details.
Display and Processor
The Huawei Mate 9 sports a 5.9-inch full-HD IPS display with resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor with four Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM and bears a fingerprint sensor as well. The phone runs EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage which can also be expanded further via microSD card.
Impressive Camera
This smartphone features the second-generation Leica dual-lens camera that captures incredible image details. It features a 20MP monochrome sensor and a 12MP RGB sensor, both with f/2.2 apertures. The rear camera also comes with noteworthy features like optical image stabilization, hybrid zoom, dual tone LED flash and a new ‘4-in-1’ hybrid auto-focus system. The front camera is an 8MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and auto-focus for taking quick selfies.

Huawei Mate 9 is packed with 4000mAh ultra long-lasting battery with SuperCharge technology which offers a day’s worth of charge in just 20 minutes. The key feature is that it keeps the device cooler and safer while charging.
Other Details
The smartphone looks magnificent and weighs 190 grams. It comes in various color options such as black, space gray, moonlight silver, champagne gold, ceramic white and mocha brown. As far as the Porsche Design handset is concerned, it is available from January at Porsche Design Store worldwide except for USA.
