MisFit Vapor Touchscreen Smartwatch Unveils at CES 2017
Misfit is known for providing fitness trackers that are simple and affordable and now it is coming up with the first touchscreen model. Called as Misfit Vapor Touchscreen, it is a round 44m smartwatch. Misfit has made many activity trackers and smart home appliances in the past and is now venturing into the new category.
Display and Design
The smartwatch features a 1.39-inch full AMOLED touchscreen display with a 326 ppi pixel density. It is a little smaller than the round displays found on most Android Wear watches such as Samsung Gear S3. Misfit Vapor touchscreen is a stylish smartwatch and comes in a 44mm satin-finished stainless steel casing. It comes in jet black or rose gold finishes. In addition, there are interchangeable straps as well. You are sure to love its simple and sophisticated design. It is a great option for women looking for a smartwatch.
Processor
Interestingly, Misfit is opting for its own operating system. It is compatible with both Android and iOS. It is expected to be capable of running apps though exact details have not been provided at the launch. Under the hood, it runs Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. It is water resistant up to 50 meters and comes with two days of battery life on a single charge. The watch will charge via a standard USB port connecting with a magnetic charging cradle.
Features
There’s something called touch bezel which is a thin strip of display around the face to control interactions on the smartwatch. It features a heart rate monitor on the back of the watch. It includes accelerometer, altimeter, GPS, microphone and 4GB of storage for music. You can easily play music via connected pair of Bluetooth headphones. Misfit is also developing a custom interface which features a radial home screen. Here, you can navigate by swiping along the edges of the display.
Misfit Vapor smartwatch is expected to ship in late 2017 and will cost $199.
