Huawei TalkBand 3 is the latest smartband announced by the company and serves as a hybrid by working both as a Bluetooth headset and as a fitness tracker. The band comes in three variants – Classic, Elite and Active. The Classic version is available in Brown and Beige metal bands while the Elite and Active versions come in Titanium gray metal band and black or white rubber bands.

Design
TalkBand 3 is a stylish smartwatch that comes with 0.7-inch Gorilla Glass OLED display. You can easily swipe through screens to adjust volume, accept incoming calls, access frequent contacts, activity and sleep tracking information and more. The band also comes with an on/off button. As compared to its predecessor Huawei TalkBand B2, it comes with a more ergonomic fit, better chipset and better audio. This new wearable reflects the sleek, fashionable designs of TalkBand wristbands. It features high end materials like Italian leather and high grade stainless steel for straps.
As a Bluetooth Headset
It also houses a Bluetooth headset which is also said to be lightweight and water resistant. When the screen of the TalkBand B3 is detached from the rest of the device, the earpiece can be expanded. It can be comfortably worn in ear and offers improved audio as compared to the previous versions of the device. This offers a better experience to the users while using it as a Bluetooth headset. You can also pair it with Android and iOS devices via app.
Activity Tracking
The smartband automatically detects activities such as cycling, running, sleeping, climbing and more. It is capable of tracking calories, steps, sleep, and other metrics. It automatically detects and adjusts according to the different types of physical activities. It is IP57 rated which implies that it can resist dust and water.
Bluetooth Connectivity
With Bluetooth 4.2 support, the device allows you to stay seamlessly connected and engaged. It comes with built-in microphone. The TalkBand can also be used to take phone calls through the device itself. It connects to Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth v4.2 through Huawei app. It provides constant connectivity and thus, ensures wireless phone synching so that users don’t miss a call. You can also find your smartphone with the help of this smartband if in case the smartphone goes missing. Just tap the display, click on the phone’s icon and your smartphone will start ringing. It comes with 91mAh battery and is expected to run for 6 days when in standby mode.

Pricing and Availability
The smartband announcement comes soon after two flagship phones announced by Huawei named Huawei P9 and P Plus. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Active models will be available for 169 euros and the Classic model will cost 199 euros. The Elite model will be available for 249 euros. There’s no word on the availability of TalkBand B3 as of now.
