Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in India dubbed Eluga Mark. It is aimed at enterprise users and offers support for enterprise mobility management platform Android for Work. The handset will be available for purchase both via offline and online retailers.

“With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users,” said Pankaj Rana, business head (mobility division) at Panasonic India.
“We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016, we would be focusing more on ‘Make in India’ and 4G-enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions,” he said in a statement.
Special Features
The most impressive feature of Eluga Mark is the fingerprint scanner on the back. According to the company, it allows one to configure up to 8 different fingerprints at a single time. Another amazing feature is the Android for Work with IT security and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) support. This device is expected to provide complete protection for personal accounts and cloud data.
It comes with the FitHome user interface engineered by Panasonic which enables single thumb-flick access to applications on the home screen.
Display
Panasonic Eluga Mark boasts a 5.5 inch IPS display available in Royal Gold or Metallic Grey finish. This IPS HD display smartphone comes with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It measures 152.00 x 77.00 x 8.20 (height x width x thickness).
Processor
It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and comes powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Eluga Mark comes with 16GB onboard storage which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
Camera and Other Features
Eluga Mark features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and there’s a 5MP front camera for selfies. It is equipped with a full 4G/LTE connectivity features such as advanced A-GPS global positioning technology. It comes with Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. This dual SIM model runs on 2,500mAh battery for longer operations.
