  • Send photos seamlessly
With the recent update of Skype, you can send photos to one or more contacts and receive photos from users who have iPhone (V5.0 or above) or Windows Phone 8.x device. This new photo sharing feature is impressive and saves your time. When you want to send pictures to contacts who are on other platforms, they will receive a URL link to open that picture.
  • Improvements in chat view
Finally, you can see two great improvements in the chat features. Firstly, you can scroll up to load even more of your conversation history as compared to the before update situation. Secondly, you can add favorites directly. Just tap the options buttons and choose the contact. It is as simple and impressive as this.
  • New text mark-up feature
This useful feature lets you mark your text *bold* with asterisks and _italic_ with underscores.
  • Other updates
The app has also received other updates regarding speed tweaks, but Microsoft did not detail that. The company merely focused on, “building a great app that puts conversations first by working hard on performance improvements.”

Here is the official changelog:

  • Easily share your favorite snaps with Skype’s new photo-sharing feature.
  • Performance and stability improvements.
  • General fixes.
