99 Bricks Wizard Academy introduces you to a magical, Tetris-inspired world. It is a game about rickety towers that are just a nudge away from collapse. Despite the blocks that are tumbling down the screen look like tetrominoes, but this game is very different to Tetris.
The goal of 99 Bricks Wizard Academy is to build a wizard tower, all of which are in shapes of Tetris blocks. You begin with a small building at the bottom of the screen, and the purpose is to build as big a tower on top of it as you can. The task is to try and fit the blocks together. Oddly shaped blocks descend from the top of the screen and you can rotate them for better placement.
The feature that makes 99 Bricks Wizard Academy different from Tetris is that nothing disappears when a solid line of pieces is put together; you just need to keep building in the upward direction. If you lay a block with too much of it over an edge, it will topple and once you lose 3 tower blocks, the game ends.
You can, with care, gradually extend the width of the tower as well. You should try to keep your tower blocks as neat and level as possible and once the tower gets even a little out of whack, the difficulties come in as it cannot be straighten back again. As you are balancing blocks, you need to watch out for other wizards. The higher the tower climbs, the more points you’ll score and gain magical powers to ensure that blocks stay up longer.
There are plenty of additional goals to make you addict to 99 Bricks Wizard Academy. Powers can be earned from tapping on bubbles that float across the screen. Cement power is another exciting magical power that enables you to quickly expand your foundation.
