India’s Noida-based firm, Ringing Bells, has unveiled the most affordable smartphone dubbed Freedom 251. This Android powered smartphone catch everyone’s attention for being carrying the price tag of Rs. 251. The Freedom 251 complies with the Indian government’s Make in India program. It is priced at just Rs. 251 (approximately $4) which makes it the cheapest smartphone in the world, this makes it cheaper than a mobile accessory. The Freedom 251 comes with a good design considering the price and even looks better than other low cost smartphones offered by brands. The design looks similar to iPhone with rounded edges, a round button and the silver ring around it. The device is lightweight and features a 4-inch qHD IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. The colors are bright and vibrant and the overall display quality is impressive.

The company gives one year of warranty for the handset and six months for the battery and three months for the earphones. Ringing Bells claims they have over 650 service centers in the country. Though the phone is priced at Rs. 251, you may have to shell out additional Rs. 40 for the shipping charges so you will be paying Rs. 291 overall for the smartphone.
