Asus ZenWatch 3 was announced quite a while ago but no availability details were announced. Well, if you have been waiting for it, the day has come. Asus has officially taken the wraps off the new ZenWatch 3 that comes with a radically different design as compared to its predecessor, ZenWatch 2. The new one is a gorgeous round smartwatch and here are the details about it.

Incredible Design and Display

ZenWatch 3 features a round smartwatch design and looks really beautiful. It offers a classy look with its circular design and comes with choice of chrome, silver or black metal for the case. There are different choices for straps such as leather and silicon options. It boasts an IP67 rating and thus, can get a few splashes but cannot be submerged in water for extended periods of time. The smartwatch features a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. The watch features three buttons on the right side.

Processor

Asus ZenWatch 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100. It is a Qualcomm processor that has specifically been built for wearable devices. The watch runs Android Wear. You can personalize the watch using the new watch face app by Asus. You can search through many watch faces and find your favorite one.

Activity Tracking

ZenWatch 3 comes with several activity-tracking features and offers you notifications right on your wrist. It can track steps taken, mileage, calories burned and more. But, it does not have a heart rate monitor. In terms of battery, the device will last 1-2 days on a single charge. Its HyperCharge technology charges the battery up to 60 percent in 15 minutes.

Availability

The ZenWatch 3 looks amazing and will arrive in US in October but the exact date is not known as of now. Asus Zenfone 3 Series smartphones have recently been unveiled by the company and now Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition is available for pre-order in US.
